Welcome to Heroes Canada. We are a registered non-profit organization dedicated to providing unwavering support for the children of fallen heroes and celebrating the essential workers who strengthen our communities every day. Our mission is built on integrity, action, and the steadfast belief that we are strongest when we lift each other up.
Right now, our entire focus is on a true hero in our community: Nurse Josee St-Onge. A lifelong caregiver who has served thousands of Canadians with unwavering compassion, Josee lives with the daily challenges of Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS) and is now in urgent need of a specially trained service dog, Remy.
A specially trained service dog is a significant investment in a hero's well-being, costing $35,000. Through the incredible generosity of our community, we have already raised $19,000! We are on the final push to raise the remaining $16,000 needed to bring Remy home to Josee.
This is more than a campaign; it's our chance to give back to someone who has given so much. Every dollar brings us closer to uniting this hero with her loyal companion.
Our Story: A Mission Born from Community
Heroes Canada was founded by Rene Bernatchez, a community leader and innovator, from a simple, powerful belief: in a world of challenges, we must be unwavering and steadfast in our support for those who need it most.
Our journey began with a promise to honor the everyday heroes among us and to create a lasting support system for the children of heroes who have passed. We are a registered non-profit, governed by a dedicated Board of Directors, committed to turning compassion into tangible action.
From major fundraising motorcycle rides to grassroots community support, our foundation is built on integrity and the unwavering belief that our strength lies in our solidarity.
Our Guiding Principle:
We are Custodians of Good, and our mission is to be a steadfast source of hope and support.
Our Mission / What We Do
The mission of Heroes Canada is two fold, focusing on the pillars of our communities: the heroes of tomorrow and the heroes of today.
1. Supporting the Children of Fallen Heroes:
The loss of a parent is a profound tragedy for a child. We are dedicated to providing crucial support to help them navigate their grief and build a bright future. Our programs aim to fund:
Psychological Support: Access to professional counseling and therapy services.
Educational Funding: Scholarships and grants to ensure they have the resources to achieve their academic dreams.
2. Honoring and Assisting Unsung Heroes:
True heroes often go unrecognized. We are dedicated to celebrating and providing tangible support to the essential workers and students who form the backbone of our communities. This includes, but is not limited to:
Nurses
Caregivers
Students
Grocery Clerks
Firefighters
Truck Drivers
Paramedic's
Mechanics
Police Officers ...
We honor them by identifying and rallying support for heroes facing their own personal challenges, and by sharing their stories to celebrate their invaluable contributions.

Ride With Us. Support Us. Be a Hero.
Our community is the lifeblood of our mission. Our cornerstone event is one large, annual motorcycle ride to unite the community and promote whatever cause we are championing.
Announcing Our Inaugural Signature Ride!
Our first official planned ride will be on Canada Day 2026. This will be a monumental event, and we invite all riders to join us in making history. Our Goal is to create the largest ride Canada has ever seen to raise awareness of Heroes in need.
The Route: We will take off from the waterfront parking lots in Pointe-Claire, drive down the scenic Lakeshore to and across Île Perrot, then continue down to St-Charles along the lakeshore in Vaudreuil. From there, we will proceed to Hawkesbury, Ontario.
Cost to Ride: This event is absolutely FREE to join, as our goal is to unite our community for a cause. While donations are deeply appreciated, your presence and support are what truly matter.
Stay tuned for more details on registration and specific timings!
